Wake window calculator by age
Wake windows are the amount of time your baby can comfortably stay awake between naps before they get overtired. Enter your baby's age and this morning's wake time to see age-appropriate wake windows, a suggested nap and bedtime schedule for today, and how much total sleep to aim for over 24 hours.
At 6 months, aim for wake windows of about 150–210 minutes with 2 naps and 12–14 total hours of sleep.
Age band: 6–9 months
Wake window: 150–210 min
Naps today: 2
Total sleep: 12–14 hours

How this works
Wake windows come from developmental sleep research summarized by pediatric sleep consultants and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations on total daily sleep for infants and young children.
The numbers in this tool are averages, not targets. Every baby's tolerance is a little different. Watch your child, not the clock — sleepy cues (staring off, ear pulling, sudden clinginess) mean the window is closing.
Safe sleep first: always place your baby on their back, on a firm flat surface, with nothing else in the sleep space, until their first birthday.
